: Sacramento river skunk
: spideyjg June 08, 2018, 12:37:54 PM
On a business trip tried 3 evenings but nothing. Not many locations for access and they either closed at dusk or had massive homeless camps. Found a promising location at Knights Landing but too steep to try again. Sand on the hill makes it hazardous.

Few night crawlers stolen but other baits untouched.

Bummer about the skunk Jim!
Always fun to fish a new location though, and better to be fishing than stuck hanging out with the others on the work trip  ;D

True and also credit to the Ocean Master travel rod. I carry a med heavy 7 foot 3 piece spinner and it cast 3 ounces and bait no problem. Have landed 10 lb class fish on it.

May get the casing version as a baitcaster would fit easier in the luggage.

Why were you way up river at Knight's Landing?  I lived in the area and fished the rivers for 15 years, wish I would have known you were going.  There are some good areas on both sides close to downtown that have easy access and no time restrictions.   ;)
