Thursday
Typical Thursday sesh with Binh. I miraculously made it on the sand by 7:30pm! Was pretty sweet to the sunset for once.

Josh rolled in not too long after I casted out my 2nd bait. The first bait suckered in a sub 30" bat ray. That would pretty much be the theme for most of the night as I hauled in 2 more bats, a 49" and a 52". Josh gets a sub 30" to beat the skunk. Binh gets 2 of his own with one hitting 54"!! What a beast it was!!

Binh also hauled in a toad butterfly ray and some leos with one in the upper 50" class. I got my fair share of leos too, 3 to be exact with one also going in the upper 50"s. Josh ended his night with solid leo too.

I closed out my night with the target species, a 70" soupfin on a middle chunk of bullet tuna. Haha Josh ;) He knows why.

Friday
Same group with Andre motoring down from LA to join us. He and I both managed some shovels, but he got the big bat honors with a solid 50"+ bruiser. Better him than me ;)

Grunion ran both nights, but no where near the numbers I was hoping for. Too many headlamps on the beach I guess. Did see some future babies.

Besides Andre, we were all wearing the stripe until I struck gold, er... bronze again. 71.5" on mackerel.

Mike, you are a Prehistoric Soul ambassador!
Congrats on the Plink and Plonk... Steve's not digging it, and I'm starting to think that I might have to get out in the surf more often, but Bravo sir!
You guys needed to measure a Leopard for the shark contest! No measurements, No prizes!
-
Not concerned about the contests, got the big prize last year. Eyes on the list.

Loaded up to hit the beach last night. Windy cold and weedy everywhere I looked. Went home and had a few beers.
Not going to be hard to catch up if I keep that up.

Glad I stayed home then. I almost made it 3 nights in row.

Killer Mike! You definitely deserve it for all the time you put in!

Great job! Glad to see that you're back on them.
