Max and I took the Ass Rack to Hodges yesterday but the bite was not there :( Max got a nice hit on a BH but that was it. Nice day but pretty hot. Oh well, got to spend some quality time with Max and taught him how to drive the boat 8) 8) Got home and Max wanted to fish the pool and practice his casting skills. Myles joined in on the fun since he didn't go on the boat :D

Salt Water Shore Fishing Reports / C-bad Skunk
« on: August 14, 2017, 05:34:27 PM »
Took the boys out for a mid day soak, we started in Del Mar looking for a good spot but all beaches were packed >:(  Headed north and found some empty sand and set up shop :)  The crack was getting the usual dink taps, so we switched to sand crabs.  I got 1 sold bump but no takers >:( It was fun to wet a line as it has been a while for us :-[  We wore the stripe home but it was worth the outing 8)

« on: May 16, 2017, 12:23:17 PM »
I found that Eye of the Round makes great jerky cause it has very little fat content :)

Sliced up and bathed in Teryaki and Yoshida sauce for 2 days in the fridge.

On the smoker @ 150-170 all day using apple and oak wood 8)

When it is done you get this ;)

Enjoy 8)

General Board / It's been a year
« on: March 29, 2017, 08:47:04 AM »
The Ass Rack hasn't been wet since 2015 due to my health issues, so I hooked up a hose to the motor and fired it up. Choked it twice and the motor purred like a kitten. I was a bit nervous cause it sat so long and wondered if the water pump was dried out, but all seems to be good. Looks like I will be launching it soon......broken leg is no excuse not to fish  ;)
