Like Jim said, bsp is kind of plentiful if you can find the right beach. Probably top 5 forage fish for soups right now. Lucky Seafood and Manila Seafood got fresh deliveries on Tuesdays, so I check them out every so often on that day and if I see fresh green backs, I stock up. If fresh, it's worth buying until the macks make and appearance.

Got ok to fish early Saturday. On the sand by 4:30pm!! Brought a perch rod along to occupy my time as I was expecting it to be slow or maybe even a dead night for grinners with the cold front moving in.

As I expected, the bullet tuna on my long rod sat quietly the whole night. Glad I brought the perch rod and some shrimp. Had bites on just about every bait. 4 leopard sharks up to 20+ inches, a spoof-fin, 4 yellowfin croaker, and 7 surf perch. Kept the perch (1 preggo released) and yfc for the fryer and for future grinner bait. Perch rod saved my night.

It's gotta turn on soon...

So it is true what they say about owning a boat... As much as I've envied boat owners like yourself, I'm not sure I ever want to own one after seeing your struggles over the years. Sucks. Hope fully you get it figured out before the offshore season starts.

No backing

All you'll have on that reel is 200yds of 40?
