I've also been using the 2 hook rig. Landed my last 2 big surf bats on it. I like it. I keep it short to prevent hooking anything too deep, but if whatever is hooked decides to swallow the bait, then keeping it short won't matter.

That would be cool! Gives me an idea! Maybe try it during the day and mount my old GoPro on it and see what happens. Obviously, that'll only work if nothing swims off with it

Kind of funny looking, but I'm hoping the shape keeps it from rolling in the surf.
I still need to cap off the ends and attach the rope. Hoping this increases my odds in the surf and bay. Critiques are very welcomed.

That'd be awesome!! But, you need something with a little more punch, like marbles or ball bearings.
