Shoreline Shark "Gathering"
« on: October 15, 2015, 09:01:30 PM »
Just a heads up that I'm thinking that we will get a gathering going here for people who want to meet up and fish sharks from the surf in November.  I'll check tides and plan on a date, but since weeds and surf will be a big factor in if we could even hit the surf, plan B will be fishing Mission Bay.

I'm going to start looking at tides and dates and have something posted up here in the next week or two, so keep checking back!

Here is the current list of members planning on attending Shark Fest... or the Gathering.  I'll put a poll up to see which name you like best.

1) Latimeria
2) spideyjg
3) Pinoyfisher
4) raychavez91
5) fish jerk
6) Jaws
7) Where's My Beer
8') Donfish
9) 1morecast

I have a secret spot that would hold a bunch of people. But it's close to the super secret spot and the super duper secret spot.

Soup kitchen is probably the most widely know secret spot, and will accommodate a party

If the fallback AO is Mission bay then the primary AO should be close to it.

Going north of TP then having to retreat to MB would be a pain.

I would assume we go to a beach with fire rings?

Yeah, I'm thinking the Soup Kitchen also.  I think November 21st might work out.  Any thoughts?

Back up would be fish Mission Bay and have a bonfire all depending on surf and kelp conditions.

OK, I was checking out the tide tables again and saw that it is a dropping tide on the 21st and not a riser.  The two best days for November would be the 14th and the 28th for a surf shark get together.  Do you guys have a preference?
