The "Grinner Gathering" II
« on: September 26, 2016, 08:51:50 AM »
OK, I'm looking for an exact date, but the second Grinner Gathering will be in October or possibly early November.  I'll check out tides and we'll plan on fishing the surf for sharks and stuff.  If the swell is up that weekend, then we can fish Mission Bay for Bats and Leopards as the back up plan and have a bon fire to keep the chill away.

Keep tuned for upcoming news and dates!

I'm thinking November 12th.  It gives people a chance to make arrangements and there is an OK tide for that night.  Not super ideal, but a sharky tide none the less.

Any opinions?

That's a very good day (my birthday)  ;D
Doubt I'll be able to make it all the way down to SD, but hopefully I'll at least be fishing up here!

I'm going to make some pre-order Prehistoric Soul/Grinner T-Shirts here by the end of November.  Maybe earlier if I could get my act together, but I also need to start designing the 10th annual Bat Fight shirts.  I was told by the printer that they want the design to them sooner than later.

With the wife still out of work, I have to just be careful of my spending habits so I could get it all done.  I'm also going to get premium vinyl stickers made... so much to do in so little time.

OK, I'm still nailing down the location, but it will probably be the same spot as last year.  Just in case the weeds or surf is bad, Plan B will be to head to Mission Bay for Mud Marlin and Leopard Sharks.

Details to follow this weekend.
