Mission to the kitchen
« on: December 15, 2016, 06:49:04 AM »
Drove down from OC  last night and checked a few spots before heading to the GG spot. Happened to meet 1morcast downthere.  :D. So many baits stolen, never saw the nibbless.ended up losing 2 big fish. I can only imagine they were big sharks. So much weight behind them ! The first one shook off after I had him inside the breakers . Next one worked me hard and ran into the reef breaking my 80ib shock leader. Felt I had both so close to being landed! Such an amazing feeling knowing that I had a true beast on the end of my line and crazy adrenaline rush but kinda devastated I couldn't seal the deal. Gonna haunt me for a long time. I'll be back down asap.

That sounds very soupfin like.  Well damn, there were still some willing biters and you had your opportunities.

Ugh, well hopefully those are the two that got away so you could get the next 2 on the beach to break even steven!  Well done boss and even though you lost a few, you got the feel for them!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Sucks to lose fish.

I actually landed a bat there one time that took me to the other side of the reef. Couldn't believe I didn't get cut off.

Guess Binh didn't get any either or we would have seen his report.

Heart breakers in the shore breakers. Think I will come back down Saturday night for another shot!

Nice meeting you on the beach last night. I was hoping to hear that you landed a grinner after I left. I did get one good knock down last night that was very soup fin like. This is what came back, bait was raked, but it looked like the bugs were chewing on it too. Critters were a big problem last night. I had to change bait every 15-20 minutes. Good luck on Saturday's trip, I bet you'll catch one before Mike.  ;D
