Offshore angler breakwater surf rod
« on: February 22, 2017, 02:16:30 PM »
Picked up a 12fter and paired it with a sealine x 50sha.

I give the Casting models ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ For the $100 price tag.

Spinners have heavy guides and should work for soaking. Still $100.

It's a new rod to me and I'm figuring out the right technique but get 60-70yrd casts easily and was finally getting further late last night after practicing with 5&bait.
Keep it tight

If you picked it up directly from the store in Rancho, it probably has my dirty little finger prints all over it (LOL).
I was in the area on Monday and took my lunch break at the store and looked at the casting models.  I was very impressed with rod at the price point. Not having casted with it but playing with it in the store, it seemed a little over rated on the high end of the casting range. the tip appeared a little light to be casting 10 oz's with. I would have rated it  4-8 oz IMO, but still a very nice looking rod and seems well made.

I'd be interested in hearing more after you've had more time to play with it.

I got it on the 8th or 9th and been using it all month. It's been my hot stick.

Sounds like a good bang for your buck, 100 bucks is nothing.

I picked one up today, they were on sale for $89 and if you buy a $5 reel and donate it to the Boy Scouts, they deduct another $15 off the price so I couldn't pass it up  8) 8)
