Fried Bacon
« on: October 13, 2017, 09:15:41 AM »
Well, I tried something a little different.  I defrosted some Halibut, Yellowtail and Ahi and cut them in bacon wide chunks.  I seasoned the fish and wrapped them with thick cut maple bacon.

I heated up a good amount of oil inside a cast iron pan and coated the bacon wrapped fish with some southern soul seasoning.

I deep fried for a few minutes on each side and voila!  Awesome chunks of greatness!  I have to admit, the halibut was the best of the three.  I think I should have just seared the ahi and the fried ahi was not as good.  Take that with a grain of salt though as it was still pretty awesome!

You can't catch them from your computer chair.

I hate you sometimes Tom. My wife can't stand the smell of seafood. This just painfully reminds me of what I can't cook at home. That looks so delish.
