Everything but bonefish came out to play
« on: November 05, 2017, 08:11:53 PM »
Binh and I took a stab at some San Diego Bay bonefish this morning.  Neither of us got one, but we had a pretty productive session.

spotted bass - more than either of us could count, all were dinks
round ray - 2 for me
spotfin croaker - 1 for each of us
yellowfin croaker - 1 for me
diamond turbot - 1 for Binh
microfishes - a couple for Binh

Fishing ghost shrimp was fun.  Looking forward to trying again!

In other news, my hunt for corvina is still under way.   I've been trying Harbor Island once per week for a few weeks, but I'm ready to start exploring new spots.  At least the view has been good!

Love catching turbots, they’re pretty cool! Double rod it at Harbor Island, soak ghosties for bonefish and throw a top water lure for corvina.

Awesome pictures, a corvina is in your future for sure.  A spotfin is on my bucket list   ;)

Nice catching Ben and Binh!

Switch spots up for Corvina.  HI is an over rated spot for them.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
