Morning Session (12/27)
« on: December 28, 2017, 03:54:00 PM »
I was planning on fishing with Steve on Tuesday night, but he was sick so I decided to do a solo session.  That all about ended after I had some leftover turkey dinner and a few glasses of wine!  I needed to do something, so instead did a morning run to see if any sharks were around for a grey light bite!

I set up at 4:30am and got bit on every cast!  The only issue it was all short bass, eels and lobster.  I couldn't walk away from the rod without being pecked clean!

I caught a small bass about 11 inches.  How he got that bait and hook in his mouth, I'll never know..

Then followed it up with a stupid eel... who twisted my leader into knots!  After tying on a new rig, I kept at it....

Daylight came and the bites were fewer and further between...

I tried everything to no avail.  No legit bites and the beach started getting active at 9:00 am so I called it quits.  Another sharkless beach for me, but I hope to get out one more time before the end of the year!  I'm falling for that rod and know that Mike already has his hand extended for it!  LOL
