On the sand at 945, Mike shows up few mins after I get my 1st bait into some epic surf conditions. Whole mack came back chewed up on initial soak, noticed some grunion swimmin as I waded out to recast and decided to match the bait size, few soaks and couple of dakine offerings (45mins) later I get slammed! Half screamin initial run, kinda fooled me into thinking it was a soup! Got it turned and she started comin to me, head shakes, tail slaps, and surface thrash! She was piiiiissed! Went back and forth a few times before I got her through the break and into the seemingly endless skinny water. Then Mike sees her as she starts belly draggin and rollin in the white wash, and gets her tailed after a couple trys!!!

Mikes getting critter bit, so he moves 20 yards south of me to escape the bass and bugs. Soak a few half macks before Mike gets a knocker, kinda lazy bite and he connects! I’m stoked for him! Watching him fight his fish, when he looks over and sees I’m getting slammed! I run over to it and think he’s in my line but quickly realize he’s runnjin south and my lines peelin west! Holy Phuuuuuck! Double bro! This things kickin my ass! Serious 1st run! Powerful head shakes tail slap like crazy! Giant Mike! Your on your own bro! It’s chaos I’m seriously in the zone! This things doin some serious rolls and starts phuckin thrashing The surface outside the breakers in the moonlight! I can’t tell exactly how big it is but it feels waaaaay bigger than the last one! I start to gain some ground and it starts slowly makin it’s way through the break and into the surf zone, I can for sure see this is a bigger fish, but can’t make out exactly what it is, jus squirmin pissed off beastly rolls and then the monster throws it head outta the wash and I get my 1st clear view of him! Biiiiiig 7 Mike! I look over and mikes takin a selfie of his shark! Then drags it in to release her! He was too far to get both in one shot, so I tailed mine solo and he came over and gave me a hand with dehooking and pics!
