Packing my gear for 3 days on the water...  Looking forward to just fishing drinking and relaxing!  15# cat is my goal!

Enjoy the three days of multiple cats. Four pounds and under.

I can't post any pics yet as I am taking pics on my phone, but a good amount of cats have been caught.  The weirdest was thinking I was casting to a carp and having a 3# cat take it on the sink!

Where allowed, carp can be an effective catfish bait. I want to try some in the surf, DFG said it was OK, as they absolutely will not come off the hook on the cast if you hook through the skin.

I usually have to cut it off the hook when changing bait.

Lot's of catfish again last night.  Maybe I'm winning this thing, maybe I'm not... Going to make Chip sweat since he is the carp and catfish guy. Lol

Sasquatch at 5.52 pounds....

I'll post my report later.  I went straight from the cabin to work this morning and already reeled in one just before I left to get to work!  Lots of catfish!

I'm  focusing on boat work. May have Kitty functional in a couple of weeks. Not sweating it. Just need one good outing at this point and once Kitty is functional watch out.

37 days left in the catfish contest... Plenty of time to knock Squatch off the pedestal.  ;D

If it gets too close and Kitty isn't  done I'll rent a boat.
