I will be hitting up the Oside pier tonight to try and make bait for a Friday night shark sesh. My cousin makes it look so easy ... freezer full of 8-12" macs... I always stuggle >:(. Will be using sabikis and shrimp.

The BT was a nice dark color with good blood and held up to 2 casts at Miramar. Nothing bit it though. I'm always tempted by the rat yellowtails, japanese amberjack, they have but never scored a bite on them.

I know.  It's weird, I crushed it on all of the bullet tuna that Jim gave me, but you never got a sniff.  Weird stuff.

I've had three 7gills spit up eel, but when I use it as bait, nada.

They also had a very promising fish in there for catfish bait. I grabbed a few and will test this weekend somewhere.
