Out of commission
« on: August 24, 2018, 05:06:23 PM »
f@cking dude looking at his phone slammed me at full speed from behind. I saved the cars in front of me by being alert (and a little lucky), but I'm going to have to deal with it now. I was slowing down to stopped traffic, looked in the rearview to see the dude looking down and never slowing down. I'm hurting.
I just needed to vent.

I had that happen around 10 years ago in my work vehicle. Not sure if a phone was involved but the lady hit full speed after I stopped for traffic on the freeway. Cops told me she wasn't wearing her belt either, took her away in an ambulance. I got off lucky and only strained my right arm from tensing, since I saw her coming in the rear view.

Best of luck Tom and sorry to hear about it.

Couldn’t believe it when you called me. Sorry to hear. Really hope you are ok and only have to deal with car hassles. You know you can call me for whatever if you need it.

Scary stuff. I hope the vehicle took the damage and not your body.

Hitting the Chiropractor every day.  Pinched nerve is what is going on and running out of pain meds....  Still no word from my insurance company, the Collision Repair shop or the accident report. This is driving me nuts.

But, I better heal up soon!  Less than 4 weeks and I'll be fishing the Outer Banks to VA Beach for 5 days!

So, tomorrow I plan on fishing for the first time in a month.  I actually did some bay fishing a few time on the shoreline to get the back strengthened up and caught quite a few bass to boot!  Tomorrow will be a bigger test and I'll put up a post when we get back.

Long rods are going to be launched here for the rest of the year if I can help it!
