Got my 1st
« on: November 25, 2018, 09:28:36 PM »
Had an old fishing buddy in from out of town, he asked if we could go chase the sevengills.  Of course I had to say yes, so off we went.  Armed with some advice from Sasquatch (thank you Steve) I used bonito for bait.  It seemed to do the trick, finally caught my first soupfin.  We had one more hook up, definitely a sevengill but it came off after a short fight.  Minus tide to the incoming.................68" female

I was stoked when I realized it was a soupfin, I had never even seen one in person before.  What it lacked in body mass it more than made up for in fight.

No kidding, those soupies are quite a handful especially for their size!

Congrats Verne!  You are no longer in a tie for last on the list!  LOL
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
