This has been a terrible surf shark fall, so hopefully it picks up this winter and we actually get some small/clean surf. This morning, they were calling for strong winds and big waves, so the Boat and the Surf were out. I just spent the past few days sick, so I needed to get out of the house. I grabbed my new Rainshadow bass rod that Len wrapped up for me and hit the bay armed with an underspin.
Water was very turgid and almost brown at spots, but the blade definitely helped them locate it.
The quality was way down from last week, but I did manage 10 bass as well had a dozen swings and misses.
I also managed to get one small butt to at least change things up.
The wind kicked up and I called it after 2 hours of fishing. Dave and Roger got to the bay to fish just in time for the wind to start howling, but I was on my way out. They were treated to a falcon slamming a Coot 3 times before flying off with it, so at least they got a consolation prize! LOL
Have a great Sunday everyone!
