Mid year catch up post - species fishing edition
« on: June 21, 2019, 08:17:52 AM »
Random catches that I didn't make posts about. It's been a pretty slow year for me compared to the previous few years.  I'm still chasing new species, just at a slower rate.  A few that I've tried for but didn't catch were midshipman, white surfperch, horn shark, and diamond ray.  I have my eye on a few others this summer, so we'll see how it goes!

January

Opaleye - Mission Point Park

Black Perch - Mission Point Park

Kelp Bass - Mission Point Park

Also some of those orange fish.  ::)

Walleye Surfperch - Ocean Beach Pier

California Lizardfish - San Diego Bay

Shiner Perch (new species!) - Shelter Island Pier

February

Chameleon Goby (new species!) - Shelter Island

March

Didn't fish other than Africa.

April

California Grunion (observation only) - Soup Kitchen

Bat Ray - Soup Kitchen

Spotted Sand Bass - Mission Bay

Barred Sand Bass - Mission Bay

Bait Stealing Bug (released) - surf spot

May

Nothing besides the PR 73" soupfin.

June

Sacramento Sucker (new species!) - Kern River

Rainbow Trout - Kern River
