Seared Toro - Habanero Pepper
« on: June 22, 2020, 07:44:46 AM »
I took out my last piece of Toro for Father's Day and quick seared it for some yummy chilled appetizers.  I tried something a little different.  I rubbed them with olive oil and then sprinkled cracked peppercorns and habanero pepper on the filets before a quick sear.

It was soooo good, but I couldn't eat them too fast as that heat had some punch and even though I only used a small amount, I needed time for my mouth to cool down before grabbing the next piece.  hahaha

Next time, I'm using a more mild pepper.    ;D
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Stick with the habanero. It has great flavor.
