Vessel Finder
« on: August 22, 2019, 06:06:44 AM »
I've been watching vessel finder for a while now, but can't believe how bunched up all of the boats have been!  If you are dreaming about fishing or just want a cool website to check out, this is the one.  https://www.vesselfinder.com/
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Looks like a parking lot sometimes. The more you zoom the more there are.

Looking at the YFT counts out of that area, it no wonder they're stacked in so tight.  If it wasn't for commitments here I'd take a run down and be in the middle of the madness   ;D

I use https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-117.1/centery:32.7/zoom:9

Change map type to satellite map for bathymetry.

I also use the marinetraffic website. Check out globalfishingwatch.org it also has a historical map of many of the charter fishing boats too.
