Murphy's Law (6/14)
« on: June 14, 2020, 07:44:50 AM »
So, Murphy's Law this morning.  I had to go to work, but decided to fish the bay this morning for an hour or so before heading in.  I was going for bigger top-water fish when I got down to the bay and realized that I forgot my phone at home...i.e. no camera.  Of course I almost knew what was going to happen and sure enough it did.

I've seen halibut jump out of the water at my lure and baits before, but never caught one on a surface lure until this morning.  It wasn't a keeper, but super cool to see.  It was a 3 pound pancake jumping out of the water and belly flopping with a spook in its mouth.  That pretty much summed it up without any pictures.  hahaha

Have a great day everyone.  I'm in a cubicle right now trying to focus and write reports.
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

Nice. The top water halibut is a fun bite.
