New Water
« on: July 10, 2020, 03:59:20 PM »
Took the Ass Rack to San Diego Bay for the first time today :) And as I arrived to the ramp I heard someone from a boat call my name ??? It was Rasta ( Josh ). I launched and met up with him out in the middle and he gave me the scoop on drifting for the fish as I had no clue where to try first. We found the fish right away with BH swimbaits and an Alabama Rig.

We ended up with 22 spotties by 11:30 and cruised to a few more areas but the bite seemed to die off so we headed for the dock at 1pm. Saw these guys at the ramp

Looks like we need to go back soon and get our fish count up, it was fun to see the twins get better action than Mission Bay 8) 8)

Back bay can kick out the numbers for sure. Definitely worth another trip.

Been enjoying the frequency of your posts of some fun trips with the family.

Nice Tim!  Congrats!

Yep, the back bay has the numbers for sure, but generally not the size.  Best part back there is you don't know what you might catch from a giant halibut, WSB, Bonefish, Corvina, Cuda, Bonito and anything else which grows bigger in there then MB.

Well done for your first run down into the south bay!
You can't catch them from your computer chair.
