*NEW* Fish Cleaning Station
« on: October 27, 2020, 12:18:14 PM »
So, the old station has been getting tired, but holding up quite well from when i built it.

http://prehistoricsoul.com/forum/index.php?topic=1367.0

It's not in bad shape, so I moved it to the other side of the house to use as a possibly a garden bench.

I decided to go full in and get a Stainless Steel table.  It's funny, all of the places are pretty expensive out here, but I found a deal on Ebay for $105 for a 2'x5' HD Stainless prep table with back wall.  Best price I found and last one, so I pulled the trigger.

It was a little too nice to have hanging out front, so I added some extra security.  Clean look and bolted up to an immovable object quite well.

Now if I can finally get my boat back, I might have a reason to test out the new "Carving Table"....

I'm calling today to find out where it's at.  Everyone will know when it's done because there will be some boat reports immediately after.  hahahaha

You gonna add a cutting surface to it to prevent cuts and gouges into the metal?

Yep. I still have my 18"x36"x1" cutting board that will be my topper for filleting. 🍻

I was going to set it up by my new BBQ area, but my wife said it looks like a necropsy table, so it became a fish cutting table instead.  hahahaha

The base was just put together pretty shabby and I needed to clean it up a bit and make it stable, instead of just floating.

I built a frame to make sure it all was held together well and make it level.

I set it up so the water would run to the back right lip and water the plants instead of pouring up front and down my boot.

Done....  Now only if my boat would finally get fixed and be DONE!

He doesn't eat fish, but if he wants to clean all the fish for me, then he's more than welcome.

That would never happen. You would take away the knife before I finished the first bungled cut.
