5 Days at Skinner
« on: February 27, 2022, 04:11:54 PM »
Well, we were due for a getaway since the kids were out of school for a week for President's Day  :o  ( A whole week, WTF )  So we headed to Lake Skinner, Bad Pig and the Rig was our home away from home since last Tuesday 8)

Rain was expected for Tuesday into Wednesday but the twins made quick work of setting up the gear and walking to the lake :)

The water level was super low, there was some cleaning of the inlet from Diamond Valley Lake and they just started to let water flow again, of course it will be to full capacity again after we leave ::)

The weather got nicer but it did freeze the first night and I had to thaw out the water regulator for the fresh water to the 5th wheel :o All in all it was a beautiful stay 8) 8)

Since the water was low, Lure hunting was pretty easy  :D They found enough lead weights to fill a ziplock bag  :o

Their buddy's grandpa brought his boat on Saturday and they got a boat ride, the fish were not biting :(

Ninja fishing was in order since the daylight hours were not producing  ;D

I had my smoker working most of the trip and we had some good grub :)

Can't forget the Peach Cobbler with berries in the Dutch Oven  ;D 8)

Janie had to work all week but showed up on Friday  :) :)

Then Aaron showed up on Saturday, our Family Outing was complete 8) 8)

We got a group shot on Saturday at my Buddy's RV and then we packed up this morning ( Sunday ) and headed home 8)

Forgot to mention that I got a call while camping, my boat is being trucked to the Dealer in Vista and should be here Thursday or Friday so I will be taking my Radar and Fish Finder over there on Tuesday to be installed right away 8) 8) The trolling motor is still on back order  ::) ::) See you at the Bat Fight Team San Diego 8)

Man, you always know how to do things right Tim!

Your boys have the Sasquatch gene in them from all the lies and lead they found! LoL
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

At least they made the most of the low water level! Looks fun. Steak looks great.
