Look what just came in the mail!
« on: March 20, 2015, 06:57:18 AM »

I got a killer deal from my Batson buds!  Big props to those guys as they are always clutch.

8'10" of iron/live bait goodness.

Mr. Skrilla will be doing the wraps and I will be all over this thing the minute I am cleared for takeoff.   8)

More pics to follow when the build commences.

Excellent!  you could pull double duty sliding baits off piers this spring too!  8) nice length, I bet it will cast 3-4oz to the moon with a 40 size reel. Saltist?  ;)
Keep it tight

Penn Fathom 30.  I was going to go with a 40 size reel, but i got a great deal on a brand new 30.  It holds plenty of 80# braid and I plan on topshotting it with whatever I plan on using it for on that trip.  Cant wait to see it when it's all done.  8)

I've imposed a temporary ban on WMB trying any new sticks that I have bought or had wrapped.  LOL

I am so excited that I can hardly contain myself.  Len is wrapping my Rainshadow 8'10" jig/live bait stick and I have my buddy Andrew wrapping up a Rainshadow 1508 surf stick back in Virginia.  I also had 6 of my reels totally overhauled with new drags and bearings and an arsenal of baits ready to be used.  I am going to be a fishing machine once I heal up from surgery and could get back out there!  Only problem is my boat is not very back friendly so I will have to see how I heal to handle that, but two custom Rainshadow rods are really what I currently have on my mind!
