Camera died on my first pic of the day.
Buddy boated with Russian Hook and a few guys. Heard the fish were going off up in O'Side ... but the counts dropped night before we left.
Decided to run North 9 and out.
Got a good scoop of dines only to find out we lost 3/4 from bait pump issues when we were already out there. dumped fresh water into the tank and rewired on the fly. Got the pump working and salvaged 20 or so pieces. Enough for the day, but they were pretty beat up.
Found fish about 5 mile past the 9 busting everywhere on birds. Tried to get some on the slide but most would bail. Finally did some long soaks on paddies and scored a mix of BFT and YFT all 20-35lbs. 9 fish total between the two boats and we split the bounty so everyone went home with some killer slabs.
Back to the docks by noon. Killer day. Paul has the pics.
Feel the Pelagic flu coming on ... but I've already taken some 'real' sick days lately.
Felt good to bloody the boat!!
