On a recent tuna trip on the Pacific Voyager, Limits ran into a few hungry hammerheads that taxed his catch. This El Nino season has been unbelievable between the Blue Marlin, Wahoo, Tripletail, Hammerheads and the rest of the exotics showing up in the extraordinarily warm waters off our Southern California coast.
A lot of boats will be switching to lobster season here after this weekend, so it may be a good time to head offshore in less crowded conditions. These strong El Nino conditions show up once every decade and a half or so and the local exotic catch has been unreal. Time to make one last final push in the offshore scene for your chance to catch a truly tropical/exotic!
Get out there before things cool down!
