Just before the surf kicked up this week, the bite started getting hot for Sevengill sharks and plenty of surf bass. The Calico Bass bite along with some big turd rollers have ruled the surf line this past week with a small female Sevengill shark getting scooped up by member, Sasquatch.
This is the time of year to lay the wood to the surf sharks. It is already appearing that we have a moderate El Nino on its way and that could bring a whole new dynamic of fishing to the SoCal bight for the 3rd year in a row! So when this surf lays down, grab your gear and hit the suds to catch yourself one of these springtime monsters!
