Chapman is the bible for piloting.

Sign up for a Coast Guard class on piloting, worth the time.

unbolt/disconnect the motor and leave the boat on trailer hooked to truck at Shelter island.

hopefully some will five finger it and your insurance can help with the cost of a new motor.

this post will self destruct in 5 seconds.

Damn, like the taste of Dorado better than Ahi.

Lot easier and funner to catch, especially on light tackle.

You had a killer of a day.

Does the mechanic run the engine at high rpms in the shop when diagnosing the problem?

If yes and it works, then problem occurs when engine is under load (pushing the boat).

Does it happen at high rpm of low/moderate RPM?

Every cylinder or just certain repeatable cylinders cut out?

Typically starved for fuel is one of the problems.

I would replaces everything starting at the fuel tank right up to the injectors and see what happens.

Clean the injectors make sure the fuel tank internals are working correctly.

Only other issue could be a short or intermittent electrical problem when under load.

Good luck with that.

Who is the worst fisherpu$$y on this site? kogahead. TOM

Who does not invite kogahead fishing? Where's My Beer. TOM

Who screws over their fishing partners with last second catches to keep bragging rights? Phong. TOM

Who sucks at picking football winners? Always kogahead.

Looks like Tom changed my answers, now corrected.

Good news that your daughter has a mild case and hopefully beats it soon.

On the other hand, the fish out here aren't trembling (or celebrating) at the news you are delayed since they feel like they are a very low risk of capture with you fishing.  Ha!   ;D

Was looking to seeing steve and the peppermint schnapps.
