Memorial Day Solo Lunch
« on: May 28, 2024, 09:13:59 PM »
Janie was getting over a cold, Aaron had other plans and the twins were still in bed, I bounced out by myself in the Escalade and headed North. No traffic and I made great timing. Hit the Restaurant at 11am and I was the only one in there.

Had my usual, Calamari and Fries with a Diet Coke

Tipped the waitress 10 bucks and cruised around before the crowd showed up. The fish are always fun to see.

Had to get a couple Re Arming kits for my Life Jackets and some new Safety Flares but somehow ended up with a few other things as well. Made a few laps upstairs too before calling it a day. Got to the register and realized I acquired about $600 worth of stuff in my basket......Oops ! Oh well gotta have it, I am stocked up for a bit.

Said Goodbye to the Toy Store and headed home.

Decided to grill some Brauts for an early dinner while Max was working on his tan.

Mr. Bay Watch himself

Hope the water calms down, The Cyclops needs to get wet !

You really don’t f around at BPS. My trip the other week was $5 for chocolate covered peanuts. Though they didn’t have the Kalin’s grubs I was looking for…

That's more straight to "Lobster Mode" right there!  lol

How far away is BPS from you?  It's like a 2-hour cruise for me unless I leave at 3am.  lol
You can't catch them from your computer chair.

It's about an hour and 15 minutes with light traffic.

I noticed that I didn't see any "Local" SoCal fish on those walls like YT and Calico.  Do they have SoCal mounts in the building?

There are YT, Dorado, Tuna, Marlin, GW Sharks, Bass, Bat Rays and a bunch more that are very cool to look at. The huge aquariums are pretty cool as well, along with the huge trout in the river section. You need to make a trip up there and enjoy the day, worth every penny. Lots of boats to look at too.

worth every penny.

Yeah, like 60,000 pennies at minimum it sounds like.

Go buy some chocolate peanuts and look at the fishies, Tom! If nothing else. I feel more and more like I should get back to peruse that location. Been 5 years now.
