Bye bye bats, hello tractors (07/16)
« on: July 17, 2015, 12:55:35 AM »
Binh and I met up with Jim (spideyjg) to look for some grinners. Macks and squish was the bait. Lots of hits on the squish, but the macks were what got them to commit. 3 fish for the night, all caught by me  ;) I'm on a mini tear right now.

First was another solid tractor. It may have been my PB.

Next up was a nice leo that we lost in the suds as a big clump of kelp went rushing into it from the beach. Shoulda, coulda, and woulda.

Last one was a  little redemption for the above mentioned leo. Terrible pic. Had a 10yr old take pics while Binh was making a cast. Nice kid, terrible photographer. 55" of PB leo!

A while back, I had a solid run on big surf bats when I wasn't skunking out... well it seems I've moved on to SNGF. I gotten them on 3 out of the 4 recent trips to the surf. They are fun!

Damn. I think I'd rather get a big surf tractor than a big bat myself, nice streak dude

Don't forget Binh catching that little croaker on that 10/0 hook. That wasn't easy to do. ;)
